Thinking about the various drums embellished with rings, I’d have to say that the differences are substantive. It’s reductive to say that they’re all hoops with jingling rings.
We make drums inspired by traditional Dayerehs, Ghavals, and Dafs ( and I’m always thinking about Doyras as well). The drums' design specifications are intentional, matched, to the desired sound and playing style/position.
Cooperman Drums’ essential mission is to make great sounding percussion instruments. That said, we also strive to make them great looking - to display our attention to detail and craftsmanship. More and more, players are choosing to express their own personal spirit by personalizing the drums with inlays, overlays, and vibrant color schemes.
